# Save and switch configs

A config is a snapshot of which modules are on, their settings, and their keybinds; you can keep several and switch between them.

A config is a snapshot of which modules are on, their settings, and their keybinds; you can keep several and switch between them.

## What a config holds

* Which modules are enabled and which are favorites.
* Every module's settings, including keybinds.

Themes and interface settings are separate from configs.

## Saving one

{% stepper %}
{% step %}
Set up your modules the way you want them.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Open the ClickGUI and go to Configs.
{% endstep %}

{% step %}
Type a name in the box at the top and click Save current.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

The new config appears as a card showing its name, how many modules it enables, and the date it was saved.

## Switching

On the Configs page, click Apply profile on any card. The card marked Loaded is the one currently in use. Applying a config replaces your current module state, so save first if you want to keep what you have.

You can also switch from the Terminal with `config <name>`.

## Deleting

Click the trash icon on a card. The Default config cannot be deleted.

## Configs that ship with Cesium

Cesium comes with a few starting points.

* Default: the balanced starting profile.
* Totem Safety: offhand and inventory totem protection.
* Sword Combo: aim, trigger, shield, jump, and potion helpers.
* Movement Swaps: mace, breach, lunge, elytra, and pearl timing.
* Misc Utility: clicking, XP, freecam, pearls, and sprint helpers.

## Where configs live

For copying a config to another PC or sending it to a friend, see [Back up or share a config](/cesium-docs/support/backup-or-share-config.md).

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://cesium.gitbook.io/cesium-docs/getting-started/configs.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
